Autism: recognition, referral and diagnosis in children and young people on the autism spectrum

This guideline published by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) covers the recognition, referral and diagnosis of autism in children and young people from birth up to 19 years.

The recommendations and advice in the NICE guideline aim to inspire greater confidence and awareness among healthcare professionals, and so allow more children with autism to have their individual needs recognised and receive the support they need.
