Brainwave provides therapy for children with developmental delay whether caused by cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, genetic disorder or brain injury.
Brainwave is an international charity, which since 1982 has provided parents of children with special needs, the opportunity to take an active part in the development and progress of their child.
Brainwave’s therapy team, following an initial 2 day assessment, provides an appropriate structured play and cognitive programme to help improve the child’s co-ordination, balance and kinaesthetic abilities.
The Brainwave Programme consists of exercises in current mainstream practice carried out by trained staff from the professions of physiotherapy, psychology and education. Children are reassessed every 4-6 months and individual programmes changed accordingly.
